Current mood: bored

You know, I can't help but think it might not be a bad idea to take a leaf from the Hufflepuffs and start a food fight at work. Some of my coworkers have just been so...stuffy and aggravating lately I wouldn't mind hitting them with a bit of pie. Might loosen things up, and we could use that. Really. I know as well as anyone that the news is serious business, but honestly! You can only take it so far.

[Private to Percy]

Let's go out and do something, yeah? You've been so busy lately...it almost feels like I'm not living with you.

[/Private]

In other news, I'm bored. Tell me something interesting - even if I don't know you! The point of these journals is to get to meet new people anyway, isn't it?

Hmm....something interesting...

Would my being pregnant be interesting, Penny dear?

And as for adding a bit o' levity in the workplace, rather than a food fight, have you considered the prospects of a water balloon fight at work instead?

Hestia Dillingham!

Oh my goodness gracious! When I said interesting I can't say I was expecting that!

Many, many congratulations to you and Hart.

And a water balloon fight...that does rather sound like a good idea. Just watch your students will take you up on the suggestion as well.

Thank you, Penny! I was not expecting it either. I was pretty much convinced that I had the case of the wizard's flu instead! Oh my...there are so many things to do now! People to notify, things to buy...

Hee! That's an idea, Penny. Perhaps sometime before their summer holiday...it could be a way for them to wind down after the end of the year exams.

I suppose for a newlywed such as yourself it's not too big a surprise - I just assumed you'd be waiting a bit longer. But this is still fantastic news!

That's not a bad way to end out the year, no, and a water balloon fight would be better were you to have the control over it.

...and you've done it again. I have to find out, yet again, from another source something I would have thought you would have told me when you found out.

Oops! I'm sorry, Remus! There I've gone again, but it has been more than busy on my end. I am still trying to finish off unfinished business as it is!

You could always ask for my help, Hestia. You know that. But a simple owl that says, Dear Remus, I'm pregnant, is not that difficult is it?

Not when you spend most of your days grading papers for first, second and third years, Remus dear. I barely have time to sleep, as tired as I am, and I would never burden you with anything, Remus...you know that.

It's not a burden to ask for help, Hestia. Why must I have this continuing argument over the same point with you? It's not as if I have this incredible load that I do not have time to help my friends.

You dear, have carried such a heavy load for most of your life. And you know that I am never one to needlessly ask for help. These student papers, while tedious and time-consuming, is manageable, after all.

But I fear that we shall continue to banter back and forth over this point for the rest of our lives, Remus. Now that you know of the news, have you got anything to say?

I'm ecstatic to hear the news! I shall have to teach the little one once they have been brought into the world on the proper etiquette of being a good pup for the two of you.

As am I, Remus! Oh dear...now comes another hard part. What to name the child...and I do not even know if the baby is going to be a boy or a girl. In a sense, I really hope that it's a girl, although a boy would be delightful just the same.

Oh! And something interesting, hm...the new restaurant they've just opened in Hogsmeade is quite good.

Busy as well for the most part - I think everyone is, really. But I can't complain too much. You doing well, otherwise?

That's the best plan I've heard for a long time. I've been much too preoccupied with work lately, I've hardly seen you. Why don't we make up some sort of anniversary and go and celebrate somewhere?

Made up anniversaries are the best kind! Why don't we try that new place in Hogsmeade the Edgecombe girl suggested.

Speaking of...you forgot to add something interesting to your comment.

They certainly are-- it's good to remember the real ones, but fake ones are fun too. Restaurant in Hogsmeade? Sounds good to me.

Something interesting? Well... I suppose... Did you know that the odds of being killed by falling out of bed are one in two million?

School's been a bit quiet, then? Understandable enough. It was probably good to just let loose for a bit, though you didn't hear me say that because once upon a time I was a Prefect and responsible and all.
