Current mood: rambly

[Private to Percy]

I'm sure you remember on your own, but I thought I'd send you a poke. Only 13 more days.

I get way too excited for birthdays. And it's not even like 22 is all that exciting. Except it's the same forwards as backwards. There we go.

Don't mind me, love. I'm just rambling. It's been an interesting week.

[/Private to Percy]

My random observation of the day: it's been raining an awful lot lately. I know, that's April and England for you. Just seems to be an especially heavy rain year. I hope it's for natural causes and nothing to do with dark wizards.

I'd just like to get a bit of sunshine again. So dreary.

I was born in the wrong month, I think.

Isn't the fact that you were born at all wrong?

I believe this is why some animals eat their young...

I won't even bother.

See, now you're starting to get it. Ignore them and hopefully they'll cease to exist.

Hee! One can only hope, yes? Still...there's only so much you could ignore, I fear.

Yes, but this one isn't ever going to learn. Besides, he loves attention. My mum's the same way. Must run in the family.

ack! reposting too!

Well, I do not believe children are born bad. It all depends on the surroundings they were raised in. And furthermore, someone's enemy could also be another's friend.

So...call me insane, or insanely optimistic, but once again, one could hope.

Professor Jones, I suggest you never speak with my mother.

Just for your insane optimism and all that.

Well children will be children, Miss Fawcett, and I have yet to encounter a child who has not caused some ruckus at one point or another in his or her lifetime.

Nevertheless, I am quite certain that your mother would have nothing but the nicest things to say about you.

I should not drink pumpkin juice while looking at my journal vraiment!

Just trust me on this one, Professor. Really.

Oh stop with the sanctimonious drivel already. See if you're this pious when your sprog finally pops out of you. Oh I just made myself ill.

And you, cuz, shut-up.

I doubt any parent would be able to harbour any negativity toward their own children, Mr. Malfoy...mothers in particular. Yet I am entitled to my own opinion, as you are to yours.

Oh please. Mothers abandon their children all the time, and the ones that don't are probably as likely to abuse them as adore them. Take off the rose-coloured glasses, Professor, not everyone is born kind and not everyone responds with kindness. Children are born innocent, not good.

Did I say that they were born good? But you did hit the topic on the spot, Mr. Malfoy. Children are born innocent and are as vulnerable as they are impressionable, and it is when people do not show them kindness that turns them into what many oft term as the "bad egg", in which case the child is not to be held to fault, but more rather the factors in their lives that influenced them to behave in such a manner.

Yet the point here, Mr. Malfoy, is that everyone, even the bad eggs and black sheep of this world, have the capacity to care and love. Surely you too have friends and loved ones you sincerely care for, don't you, Mr. Malfoy? Some acquaintances for whom you worry for in times of trouble?

For your sake, I shall make this a rhetorical question for you, but do think about it.

I'm not talking about children being impressionable, Professor. Oh sure, children are impressionable, but some are just born bad from the get-go. They can be smothered with lollipops and rainbows from the moment they're born, and they'll still go on a murderous rampage. Try to love them then.

The only thing I'll think about is gutting you like a fish... I don't know. NEWTs or something. Leave me alone.
